Sketch Comedy acting 2
-
This class is for KML acting students who want to continue developing their performance skills and take them to the next level. You'll deepen your experience with the sketch comedy fundamentals you learned in Sketch Acting 1, and challenge yourself to widen your playable character range, as well as touching on musical numbers and monologues.
Attention to detail makes all great work pop. Acting 2 provides a great opportunity to refine the basics and tackle fresh subjects: stretching your character-building muscles by playing against your natural type, identifying and flipping your status within a scene, adjusting your vocal pacing with agility, incorporating direction without losing your own vision, consistently powerful vocal projection and articulation, developing a go-to stable of characters for yourself based on your strengths, and more.
Your six weeks of laughter-filled artistic growth finishes with a wide-ranging showcase for a great house. In addition, students will receive a discount code for a $5 ticket to the current KML show of the month. You and your fellow classmates will be well on your way to being fast, smart, fearless performers!

Prerequisite: KML's Sketch Acting 1 Class
All students and instructors are required to provide proof of vaccination and 1 booster before the start of class.
Please review KML's other class COVID protocols HERE. By signing up for this class, you are agreeing to adhere to those protocols.
Students should expect to spend 1-2 hours per week on memorization and character development outside of class.
Attendance is a big part of our collaborative environment. Please make sure that you will be able to attend all classes so that everyone can rehearse their scenes.
KML cannot issue refunds for classes.
In the event of a class cancellation for any reason, course credit will be reapplied to another class of your choosing, with no time limitation.
In the event a student has to drop a class, KML can transfer course credit to another class within 6 months of the dropped class. In order for the course credit to be reapplied, you must notify KML at least 7 days prior to the first day of the class for which you originally signed up.
Transferring class credit will not be honored after the class has already started.
If a student misses two classes or more, they are automatically dropped from that session. The student is welcome to enroll in future classes, but their enrollment in the previous session will not rollover into the next session and the student will be expected to pay for the new session in full.
All acting students are required to attend and participate in the final class performance.oes here
