Want to keep comedy and theatre thriving in the Bay Area? Here are a few Ways to help us achieve our goal:

    Want to make the most of your donation? Some workplaces have a “matching gift program.” Check with your employers to see if they have one, and double your gift to KML.

  • Word-of-mouth is still our biggest campaign asset! Your help getting the word out via social media or email will have a huge impact on our success.

    When posting about the campaign on social media, there are TWO BIG IMPORTANT THINGS TO REMEMBER:

    Always, always make it personal - it's your personalization that'll bring home the point, and the donations.

    Examples:

    • "I support Killing My Lobster on #kmlgivingtuesday because I believe in keeping the arts alive in San Francisco"

    • "I support Killing My Lobster on #kmlgivingtuesday because I believe in the power of laughter."

    • "I support KML on #kmlgivingtuesday because they believe the best comedy happens when all voices have a seat at the table."

    • "KML has been a safe creative home for me."

    • "KML gave me my first opportunity to direct a show."

    Don't forget the donation link & call to action - Tell 'em what to do & how to do it! "Donate now!", "Donate today!", "We're raising $40K - help us by giving now!" etc.

    We will never be able to reach as many people without you. We appreciate any and all campaigning you can do!

What do these donations do?

The funds we raise from Giving Tuesday will allow Killing My Lobster to:

  • Pay every artist for their contribution to our productions

  • Achieve a richer and more vibrant artistic vision for our productions.

  • Support underrepresented voices in comedy by funding our Fellowship and Scholarship programs.

By donating, you are investing in the local artistic infrastructure of the Bay Area, and helping us provide creative opportunities for artists through fast, smart, fearless, and inclusive sketch comedy.
